In October of 2001, Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue was awarded the inaguaral Garland's Destiny Memorial Award.

On behalf of Clarington Pet Connection, I want to congratulate you on winning the first ever Garland's Destiny Memorial Award. As you know Destiny was a very special Border Collie and in her honor we felt that the first awarding should go to a very special group of people. Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue just seemed to be the perfect group to win the award.
